Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is a binding agreement that outlines the acceptable use of HostMaji's web hosting services ("Services"). By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP in its entirety. This policy is designed to protect our servers, network, and users. Violation of this AUP will result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, often without prior notice.

1. Prohibited Content

You may not use our Services to store, transmit, or display any content that:

• Is illegal under the laws of the Republic of India or international law.
• Infringes on any intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, patent), including hosting or linking to pirated software (warez), movies, or music.
• Is obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit.
• Promotes hate speech, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group.
• Is fraudulent, deceptive, or promotes scams, pyramid schemes, or high-yield investment programs (HYIP).
• Is abusive, harassing, threatening, or defamatory.
• Contains viruses, malware, trojans, or any other harmful or destructive code.
• Is used for phishing, pharming, or other deceptive practices to gather sensitive information.
• Functions primarily as a file hosting, sharing, or archiving service (e.g., Cyberlocker, file-sharing sites).

2. Prohibited Activities

Engaging in any of the following activities using our Services is strictly prohibited:

• Spamming: Sending unsolicited bulk emails (spam) is strictly forbidden. Any account found to be involved in spamming will be immediately and permanently terminated.
• Resource Abuse: Any use that consumes excessive server resources (CPU, RAM, disk I/O) to the detriment of other users is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, crypto-mining scripts, game servers, running cron jobs more frequently than every 15 minutes, public proxies, and using the hosting account solely for file storage or backup.
• Network Abuse: Any activity that disrupts our network, including Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, port scanning, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system.
• Security Violations: Distributing tools designed to compromise security or sharing your account credentials with unauthorized users.

3. Specific Policies for Free Hosting (Pixy Plan)

Our free hosting service is a privilege provided for the learning community. The following strict rules apply:

• One Account Per Person: To ensure fair access, users are strictly limited to one free hosting account. Creating multiple free accounts will result in the termination of all associated accounts.
• Account Inactivity: Free accounts with no active, publicly accessible website for a period of 30 consecutive days may be deemed inactive and permanently deleted to free up resources.
• No Guarantees: The free hosting service is provided "as is" without any warranty or uptime guarantee (SLA). It is not intended for business-critical or commercial use.

4. AUP Enforcement

Violations of this AUP are taken extremely seriously. We reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, what constitutes a violation. We will take immediate action which may include, but is not limited to, content removal, account suspension, or permanent account termination without notice and with no option for data backup or recovery. No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated due to a violation of this AUP. We may also report illegal activities to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
